Can we customize our pizza?
Custom pizzas are available to order in the shop.
Due to our pre-production and delivery methods, customized pizza orders are challenging to manage. In an effort to keep things affordable and running smoothly, we request that you order the half-bake pizzas as they are.
I have food allergies - do you use ____?
We really understand food allergies - we have them in our family and take them very seriously. Our commitment to you is that we will never use tree nuts or peanuts in our products. We use dairy on all pizzas except our vegan pizza, which is intentionally developed to taste great without dairy or non-dairy cheese alternatives. We occasionally use pine nuts as a topping, which are considered a seed, and will always call them out in the ingredients list. All of our pizzas are made in a facility that uses wheat and other flours containing gluten - if you have celiac or other severe sensitivities to gluten, our products likely won’t be safe for you. If you have other allergies, or ingredient concerns, please contact us and let’s talk about it.
Can I freeze my pizza? Or do I have to cook my pizza right away?
While your half-bake pizza will be best hot out of your oven the same day it’s delivered, they will keep for a few days in the refrigerator or for up to a month in the freezer. To protect them from going stale or getting freezer burn, please wrap them well in plastic wrap and freeze them flat. When you’re ready to eat them, unwrap your pizza, preheat your oven to 450 degrees, put pizza directly on the center rack and bake for 5-7 minutes - a little longer if you like your crust crispier. For best results, allow your frozen pizza to thaw before baking.
I ordered more than one half-bake pizza - can I finish baking them at the same time?
Please finish baking your pizzas one at a time. Pizza requires bottom heat for the crust to cook all the way through, and top heat for the toppings to finish baking. Cooking one at a time ensures that the crust and top finish baking together.
My oven has a convection feature - should I use that when I finish baking my half-bake pizza?
Please do not use the convection feature on your oven. Pizza requires bottom heat for the crust to cook all the way through, and top heat for the toppings to finish baking. Convection ovens move the heated air around evenly which would cause the top to finish baking before the crust is done. Conventional ovens heat from the bottom which is ideal for pizza baking.
Why don’t your vegan pizzas have cheese on them?
We believe our vegan pizzas taste great as they are, but we understand that some people really want a non-dairy cheese on theirs. Finding one everyone can agree upon is challenging given allergies and other sensitivities (remember, we don’t use any tree nuts or peanuts), so we recommend putting your favorite non-dairy/vegan cheese on the pizza before you finish baking it at home if that’s something that is important to you.
I live outside Alameda, your system doesn’t allow me to order. Can I just come pick it up?
Now that we have our own pizza shop, we welcome you to come by to order a hot pizza or grab a slice in person. And we are currently offering Pre-Order Pick-up on Thursdays & Fridays during our regular deliverly hours of 4-6 pm. Please select “Pick-Up Thursday” or “Pick-Up Friday” as your delivery date, then enter 1930 Main St, Alameda CA 94501 as your shipping address when completing your order.
Do you sell hot pizza?
We do! We opened a pizza shop at the end of October, 2024, and offer slices and hot pizza in the shop! We’re located at 1930 Main St, #2, in Alameda. We look forward to seeing you soon.
How do deliveries work?
Deliveries are made during the delivery window on the day/date selected at checkout.
Delivery is limited to within the City of Alameda and is included in the price, with no extra or hidden fees.
Once your items have been delivered, you will receive a delivery confirmation email.
